Because of the production of the carbon booms is 100% handcrafted, the sizes are approximated. According to customer wish we can produce other sizes and width.
All sizes available with slim tube diameter – we recommend for light riders.
Race carbon boom: it’s all about the stiffnes
When you are pumping in light wind condition, a stiff boom can be the difference between winning or losing. With our new Race Boom, you’ll waste no energy. Because the carbon boom does not distort the sail retains its correct shape. The combination of an extra thick wall on the front section of the boom and oversized back-end results in one of stiffest carbon booms on the market.
The width of the tail section has got to match each boom size and its use. A wider tail end generates more power, but for greater control, a narrower tail is recommended.
Our Slalom Slim boom has a narrower tail width to give greater control. Our Formula Extra Wide tail width increases to 29cm, this allows to reduce the outhole and makes the sail profile deeper.
How to choose the best boom size?
We recommend using at least a 10cm longer boom than is recommended for your sail. This guarantees the best rigidity and best position of the boom cleat which is located on the backend of the boom.
